Ramblin' Rose

about

I feel like this song represents a turning point in how I want to write music. I am trying to write more cohesive things to be able to put them out into the world. It helps to build my confidence if I can just be able to put out a near-polished piece knowing I have done all I can so far.
this is one of the first pieces I was able to truly work on in detail to be able to present to you in this fashion.
Everything on this song I did including the drums, and the bass, made numerous takes of vocals and played some organ and harmonica. Doing so really helped me what I wanted and was ultimately looking for in this song.

Thank you for listening

lyrics

It's the rambling Wind
That's holding me
The heat of the sun
That's boiling my blood.
The sticks and the stones
That's killing my knees
The whispers in church
That's still haunting me

And at the end of the day, I swear I've been through it all
A double-knotted noose
that's choking my lungs
It's 10,000 clansmen,
That got me all on the run
The sky scrapper Rent
That lets me know that I am broke
It's my restless mind,
That never leaves me alone

And at the end of the day, I swear I've been through it all

A rambling rose
Yet as soft as a dove
be wise as a wolf
that'll help stay on the road
but don't let me go
when I call out your name
Please don't forget
that it's all just a game
cuz at the end of the day, I swear I've been through it all
