Blues This Morning 10/23

about

This Morning I woke up, sorta in a panic. I realized it is the 23rd of the month, I still looking for the next solid living situation, so I pulled out my guitar and came up with this.
The best things about the Blues, or even just this particular style, slide blues, with its dragged out feel to it, is that it's always connected by these stories of blues musicians telling their side of the truth. To me this sound is connected to a lot of phrases that are still very relatable to me, even with over a hundred years of difference between me and those sounds.
I don't have to say it, but every string pulls at phrases like,
"I'm a poor boy a long way from home."
"Cold ground was my bed last night, rock was my pillow, too"
" No food on the table, no shoes on my feet."
Or my favorite phrase in the Blues.
"I'll never get out of these blues alive. "
These phrases are instilled really into the sounds of the guitar with slide. That's how I feel atvleast. and they don't necessarily come back to haunt me as much as they bring me back, and remind me that, if I did have past lives, I been through this before in a way.
I set up my laptop and rig to get this going; to keep pushing through this idea of constant stream of consciousness in this particular sound.
I hope that, should you listen to this you will understand where I'm coming from. Partly from the sense of at this point, there's nothing new I been through, and there's nothing really much new about this particular kind of struggle. If there's such a thing as upward mobility, then there is hope. But if not, then at least these blues will remain conscious for a long time.
What do you think?
Do you feel this sense of deep connection to a past that always comes up and reminds you of where you been and where you're going?
